Christmas songs and presents
Last December 5 took place the last outing of 2022 of Calle Esperanza. Everything was in place to make it a very different visit to our brothers in the condition of San Jose Street, from the cool and clear night to the hearts willing to give the best for them.
Upon arrival, as always, we found brothers thirsty for love and listening. Precisely that was what was reflected in this visit, because not only did they receive the traditional tamale, but also gifts and the visit of a Christmas choir that ended up gladdening our hearts because at that moment we were all one reflecting the love of Jesus for our neighbor.
Emissaries of God
There were many moments in which the volunteers were moved not only by the stories of these people but also by their response, for as one of them said: “You, the volunteers, are emissaries that God sends to bring us food and company”.
In the end, they were left with the cold of the street, but with a heart full of warmth for at least one night, and we volunteers returned to our homes with infinite gratitude for having had the privilege of seeing Jesus in each one of them.
