ARCORES International President Jaazeal Jakosalem OAR received an award from the Philippine Embassy to the Holy See in Rome on Friday, November 3. The award was given in recognition of those in leadership roles within the framework of the 5th Centenary Celebration of the Christianization of the Philippines, which has as its theme “Gifted to Give”.
The Philippine Embassy to the Vatican thus recognizes Jakosalem’s service to the Catholic Church and his country of origin. The president of ARCORES thanked Ambassador Myla Grace Macahilig for receiving the award.
At the Holy See
The ceremony also recognized the work of other Filipinos working in the Vatican Curia and the general houses of different congregations, such as Armin Luistro, Superior General of La Salle.
Cardinal Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, President of the Dicastery for Evangelization at the Vatican, also spoke at the ceremony.
