ARCORES, present in Tizayuca
Since this December, ARCORES Mexico has been present in Tizayuca, Hidalgo. Lupita Aguilar, who was a member of the Secular Fraternity of Mexico, realized that, around her, there were people who needed our solidarity. As part of the Augustinian Recollect Family, she contacted ARCORES Mexico to make this new project possible in the Señor de la Misericordia Vicariate of Tizayuca.
On December 13, the opening mass of the project was celebrated with the presence of Refugio Gonzales, Augustinian Recollect, the priests of the community of Tizayuca, Polo Escorcia, and Cesar Fernandez, and part of the volunteer team of ARCORES Mexico. During the Eucharist, emphasis was placed on the ways to help our brothers and sisters: “Sometimes not with material things; a conversation or a smile is enough”.
After the celebration, the delivery of food and hygiene products to 65 needy families in the community began. This work is carried out jointly with the members of the social pastoral and pastoral care of the sick of the parish.
